We generally get called into situations where the latter is true. At Mindstone, we’re not economists and strategists; our job is to help clients allocate scarce resources in order to meet their objectives. We reveal the application utility of a client’s data that they themselves have never seen. We help clients see it, understand it, and use it.
Recently one of the major professional sports leagues engaged us to help them determine if one of their major investment programs was driving the desired business outcomes. So we were brought in to assess these programs and determine if it was worth the investment. It was a really hard thing to measure- how much of these programs are building enthusiasm for the game, and most importantly, are these programs having an impact on how much money they’ll spend on the game. In the end we were able to build them all, and confirm that they were on the right track. We recommended a few adjustments to improve the program to make it even more productive. This isn’t magic. We’re not guessing about the program’s long-term viability. What we’re doing is rooted in science and math. In the end, we use these skillsets to assist our clients during their most defining moments.
